CPC Calculator
CPC – cost per click – is what you pay each time someone clicks your ad. This CPC calculator turns ad spend and clicks into that number, so you can judge whether a keyword, campaign or channel is buying traffic cheaply enough to keep funding.
How to calculate cost per click
Total ad cost – everything you paid the platform over the period you are measuring, including the spend behind clicks you would rather not have bought. Management fees and creative cost sit outside this number.
Total clicks – every click that spend produced in the same period. Use the same date range as the cost, or the answer means nothing. Google Ads and Meta both report this figure directly.
CPC – the result: your average cost for one click across the whole period, not for any single keyword. Average hide outliers, so check your most expensive terms separately.
For example: Spend $4,820 on Google Ads in a month and get 1,140 clicks. CPC = $4,820/1,140= $4.23. Each visit costs $ 4.23. Cut the budget to $3,500 at the same CPC and you buy roughly 827 clicks instead of 1,140 – the trade you are actually making when you trim spend.
